Our story

1992

Birth

The company Cortarte was born on February 11, 1992. With the objective to produce die cutters, Domingos Pereira starts its activity with the collaboration of an employee, in a space of about 15m², where the first machines are installed.

1993

Reinforcement of resources

In 1993, the scope of the company's activity was extended to the manufacture of clichés, which required a reinforcement of human resources, and an increase of the work space to an area of around 120 m².

1995

Private limited company

In 1995 the company assumes the name Pereira & Monteiro - Indústria de Cortantes gráficos e Clichés Lda.

2001

Investment in technology

Expansion of facilities. New investments in technology and the creation of jobs. Introduction of new areas of activity, namely Screen Printing. The company Pereira & Monteiro changes its corporate name to Cortarte - Indústria de Cortantes gráficos e Clichés Lda.

2020

New facilities

Expansion of the facilities, now occupying an industrial space of around 2000 square metres.

2008

Specialisation

The company becomes more and more specialized in solutions for the graphic arts industry with the creation of a new service, Plasticization.

2024

Environmental Responsibility

Reinforcement of the team and modernisation of production machinery. Intensification of environmental responsibility, with the purchase of solar panels and the installation of a waste pavilion.

2018

Industrial Modernisation

Industrial growth and modernisation. Delivery of a new service, Stamping.
